Hello! My name is Danelle Smith, and I am one of the physical education teachers along with Kristina Fitzpatrick. I usually take the lead on the younger kiddos, while Coach Fitz takes the lead on the older ones. I am married to Case Smith, who is the Director of Recreation Ministry at First Woodway, and I love getting to see him at work every day. Case actually attended WCS for preschool when he was 4 years old! Our hobbies include playing with our dog, Jersey, having bonfires in our backyard, going for bike rides, and eating yummy food. We are also patiently waiting for our baby to arrive in January 2021!

I grew up in Eden Prairie, Minnesota with a very loving family who taught me how to pursue Jesus at a young age. Sports have always been a big part of my life. I played soccer for the majority of my life, and also dabbled in tennis, lacrosse, basketball, and golf. I decided to pursue physical education because I think that it is a really unique avenue in the school where I get to combine all of my passions; God, children, and sports! I graduated from Baylor University with a degree in All-level Physical Education in 2016, and graduated in 2017 with my Master of Sport Pedagogy. Teaching physical education is truly the perfect occupation for me, and I am so thankful to get to do it every day!
