Friday, the 2nd day of school, our middle school students went on a field trip to TSTC’s Challenger Learning Experience. They were divided into teams and their objective was to launch a probe and collect data from a comet. Some of the teams started in mission control and the rest were “blasted into space” to work on the space shuttle. Then, half way through, they switched locations. Our middle school kids did a GREAT job communicating and problem solving. They had to use advanced math skills and different types of technology to achieve their goal. All their hard work paid off and they were able to launch the probe and retrieve information from the comet. The staff at TSTC was amazing and our kids had so much fun learning and challenging themselves. In the afternoon, we played some team building games and talked about being the leaders of the school. This is a fantastic middle school group and we can not wait to see all God is going to do in and through them this year!
