P.E. Teacher

“‘Though the mountains be shaken and the hills be removed, yet my unfailing love for you will not be shaken nor my covenant of peace be removed,’ says the Lord, who has compassion on you.

Isaiah 54:10

Hello! My name is Danelle Smith, and I am the new physical education teacher along with Kristina Fitzpatrick. I am really excited to help out Coach Fitz with the amazing physical education program she has been implementing at Woodway Christian School. I recently married Case Smith, who is the Director of Recreation Ministry at First Woodway, so I am excited to work alongside him as well! God has given me the incredible opportunity to teach at WCS, and I cannot wait to start.

I grew up in Eden Prairie, Minnesota with a very loving family who taught me how to pursue Jesus at a young age. Sports have always been a big part of my life, as I participated in many sports growing up and specialized more in tennis and soccer in high school. I decided to pursue physical education because I think that it is a really unique avenue in the school where I get to combine all of my passions; God, children, and sports! I graduated from Baylor University with a degree in All-level Physical Education in 2016, and am currently working on my Master’s of Sport Pedagogy. Teaching physical education is seriously the perfect occupation for me, and I am so thankful to get to do it every day!
