“Be joyful always, pray continually, give thanks in all circumstances; for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus.”
1 Thessalonians 5:16-18
My name is Kristina Fitzpatrick or “Coach Fitz” and I am the athletics director, P.E. teacher for K-8, and head coach. I am so blessed to be a part of the Woodway Christian family where I get the privilege of sharing Jesus with young kiddos!
I grew up in St. Louis, MO with two devoted, loving parents and two brothers. I started playing almost every sport as early as I can remember and though I loved them all, volleyball was my favorite. I was recruited to play volleyball for Baylor in 2012 and majored in Nutrition Sciences. After graduating with my B.S., I knew that I wanted to pursue my passion of coaching and teaching. God opened the door that I could continue my education at Baylor while pursuing a master’s degree in Sport Pedagogy. Through His mercy and placing the right people in my life, I heard about the opening at Woodway Christian and He made it clear that this was the position for me.
I am so excited that I get to be a part of God’s plan for this year at WCS! I believe that regardless of each child’s physical ability, he can find joy in using His body as a living sacrifice (Romans 12:1) to serve others and Christ. Sports and physical play can be so beneficial to the social, spiritual, and physical well-being of a child and I will work my hardest to ensure each student feels included, competent, confident, and joy in P.E. and athletics!
