Last week our 1th-8th graders took the Iowa Test of Basic Skills (ITBS). The ITBS is a standardized test that our teachers use as a tool to ensure our students are reaching their full academic potential. Our students work really hard during testing and our kindergarteners stayed very quiet all week so there were no distractions. By the end of the day on Thursday, they were all in need of some fun. So, Friday our middle school students hosted our annual End-of-ITBS-Tournament! We love this event! It is a great way to celebrate the end of a long week of testing and it is a middle school fundraiser. It starts with picnic style pizza lunch. Then, our kiddos divided into dens and the competitions began!! There were a series of relays and then a huge dodgeball tournament! At the end of the afternoon, the scores were added up and the Green Den won! This was the perfect ending to a week of hard work.
