Every year our middle school kids look forward to their big overnight field trips! In the past, these trips have been to San Antonio or Washington DC. However, this year we knew it would need to look a little different. Our goal was to keep the field trip short and sweet and full of bonding time! Last Thursday, we headed to Dallas! Our first stop was Topgolf where the kids, and their parents, had a blast competing and chatting. After some golf the middle schoolers spent time at the hotel swimming and relaxing. Thursday evening we were transported to another era at Medieval Times. Our students cheered loudly for their knight and enjoyed eating dinner without utensils. Friday morning, we spent time studying God’s word and what He says about friendship. We discussed what it means to be a Christian friend and nurture the relationships God has given us. After some time in conversation and prayer, we loaded up and came back to Waco with full hearts. A big thank you to all the parents who went with us and supported us! We are so grateful for these amazing middle school students and the leaders they are becoming.
