National Day of Prayer

Hello Woodway Wildcats!

Today,  May 7,  we would normally be joining millions across our nation observing the Nation Day of Prayer at WCS.  We will not cancel this year due to the coronavirus but it will look different. This year’s theme , “Pray God’s Glory Across the Earth, “ is based on Habakkuk 2:14, which states, “For the earth will be filled with the knowledge of the glory of the Lord as the waters cover the sea.”

Here is a Neighborhood Scavenger Hunt and Prayer Walk

  1. Find a flag.  Pray for God to guide and give wisdom to all those in government positions as they make decisions and lead us.
  2. Find a butterfly.  Thank God for all His wonderful creations.
  3. Find a mailbox.  Ask God to protect all the workers that keep our communities going.
  4. Find a bug.  Ask God to heal those that are sick.
  5. Find a nut /seed.  Pray for protection over your family and friends.
  6. Find a rocking chair or bench.  Pray for local churches to find creative ways to help and share the gospel.
  7. Find a yellow flower.  Ask God to give strength and wisdom to all the teachers, students and parents that are adapting to distance learning.
  8. Find a stop sign.  Pray that while many activities have stopped we remember God is still at work.

This is just one way that you can recognize the National Day of Prayer. This a suggestion- not an assignment so do what works best for your family.

You are all in my daily prayers. I miss your smiling faces.
