“For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.”
John 3:16

I grew up in East Texas in a large family that consisted of 3 brothers and 3 sisters. I graduated high school in 1981 and started pursuing a broadcasting/journalism major at Kilgore Jr. College. I wanted to be the first female sports announcer and be famous like Barbara Walters. While attending Kilgore, I became active in our Baptist Student Union. We spent our summers traveling to various places helping with VBS and Backyard Bible Clubs. After going on several trips, my heart’s desire changed and I now wanted to work with children. I transferred to East Texas Baptist University and completed my studies in education. I swore I would never get married because I enjoyed my single life and didn’t want to give that up for marriage. That all changed in 2005 when I met Craig at a single’s gathering at my church. His smile and laughter made me want to get to know him better, so I asked him out. We were married in 2006 and we had Clay in 2008. In 2010, Craig took a job with Allergan which required us to move to the Waco area. I took a job in Clifton teaching second grade and worked there for 5 years. After 28 years, I retired from public education in 2016. God decided to open the door for me to work in a Christian school and opened the door for me to be part of WCS. I have taught Kindergarten, 4th,and 5th grade.I am currently teaching 2nd grade. I feel blessed to be part of this awesome team of wonderful, Christian teachers.
