Trust in the Lord instead. Be kind and good to others; then you will live safely here in the land and prosper, feeding in safety.
Psalms 37:3

Hi, I am Dawn Murray and I will be teaching third and fourth grade English Language Arts and Texas History and fifth grade grammar. It is a true blessing to have the opportunity to impact each student’s life. My goal is to provide and instill a true love of learning in academics and to help each student experience God’s infallible love. While in the process, of each of these two things, my goal is also to further mold each student’s respect for others.

My educational background began with a Bachelor of Science from Baylor University. I attended Tarleton State and became a certified Reading Recovery teacher. Most of my 36 years in education has been focused on reading. I am also a certified Master Reading teacher.

When I am not teaching, I enjoy time with my family. My husband, Steve, is a magnificent chef. He has his own lighting company. Carrie is our oldest daughter. She is an A&M graduate with a degree in Poultry Science. She is a regional trainer for Pilgrims and travels all over the United States and lives in Colorado. Cameron our son is working on a degree in electrical technology. Chloe is a freshman at Blinn living on Texas A&M campus. She is majoring in business/finance and hopes to attend Mays business school. We also have three grandsons Grayson who will be a third grader at WCS , CJ three years old and Caiden 1 year old. Besides spending time with my family, I enjoy time at the beach, traveling, movies, going out to eat and shopping.
