Prekindergarten 4 Teacher

“‘You must love the Lord your God with all your heart, all your soul, and all your mind.’ This is the first and greatest commandment. Second is equally important, ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.'”
Matthew 22:37-39

My name is Koni Brewer. I am excited to be at WCS. I am deeply thankful for all God has done to guide me here.

My husband Scott, and our three children love Waco and attend Highland Baptist Church. My husband works with the Baylor men’s basketball program. Our two older children are in Midway School’s while our youngest is here at WCS. When I am not at school I love attending all my kid’s activities: basketball, swimming, acting, soccer… When we are not running around I love playing games with our kids. Even though now that they are getting older they often beat me, I just love time with them.

I attended Summit University for my Bachelor’s degree and obtained my teaching certification through Texas Teachers of Tomorrow. God has put a passion in my heart to teach that I can not deny. I am excited to follow Him in teaching four-year-olds specifically, as I was four years old when I recognized my need for a savior and became a Christian. I am honored to have the opportunity to share the love of Jesus with my students, as well as a love for learning. I believe that teaching little ones through play can ignite in them a love for learning and allow them to find the confidence to be lifelong learners. I want to provide my students with a loving and safe environment where they are free to learn from mistakes and become all God has created them to be.
